Public Health Risk Activities

The Public Health Act 1997 regulates premises and persons carrying out any Public Health Risk Activities and requires registration and licencing of operators.

What are Public Health Risk Activities

These are activities such as tattooing, ear and body piercing and acupuncture are classed as Public Health Risk Activities and these premises are licenced by Council and inspected to ensure compliance with the Guidelines for Tattooing; the Guidelines for Acupuncture and the Guidelines for Ear and Body Piercing issued by the Director of Public Health.
