Council has a variety of facilities available for public use across the municipality that caters for both recreational and social activities.  Due to such a large portfolio of facilities to manage, certain procedures are in place to ensure those wishing to access our facilities are able to do so.

To make a booking please APPLY HERE, please note a booking cannot be confirmed until all required documentation is received by Council and as such, we recommend not advertising your event until this confirmation is provided.

Fees may be applicable for the hire of facilities; to view our current fees please click HERE

If your booking requires preparations please allow up to 6 weeks for your booking to be assessed and completed.

In-Kind assistance may be available for your hire and more information can be found on our Community Grants page.

If you require in-kind assistance (non-cash funding) which relates to the booking of a Council facility, your booking must be confirmed before in-kind can be processed and approved.

Suggested Event Planning Timeframes

Single Day Events                           3 weeks – 15 working days

Weeklong Events                            6 weeks – 30 working days

Sporting Events/Seasons                 3 weeks – 15 working days

Christmas Events                           2 months – 8 weeks - 40 working days

Funeral/Emergency                        Exempt

Festivals                                        4 months – 12 weeks – 80 working days

Athletics Carnival                           6 weeks – 30 working days

Markets                                         3 weeks – 15 working days

For any of the above events that include any inclusions as per the below list, please add on the extra time allocated per item (ie for a road closure add a further 6 weeks and so on).

Food Licence                                  1 week – 5 working days

Alcohol Licence                              4-6 weeks – 20-30 working days

Applications may take longer to process if your application is incomplete, or additional information is required.
