Hire of Council Facilities

Council has a variety of facilities available for public use across the municipality catering for both recreational and social activities.  With such a large number of facilities to manage there are procedures in place to ensure those wishing to access the facilities are able to use them as easily as possible.  For many reasons these facilities are often not left open for people to access and use without any monitoring or control.

Council must know who is using a facility to ensure it is not double-booked and most importantly, we need to ensure the safety of users.  If you or your organisation need to use a Council facility, please contact us as early as possible to start the booking process – we do our best to have the facility available but early bookings are good to avoid disappointment.

An Application for Use form is available from the Council office and website. Applicants are required to provide (where applicable) copies of insurance policies, alcohol permits and rosters along with risk management plans.  This process is also applicable to organised events in open spaces such as parks and reserves.  A booking cannot be confirmed until all required documentation is received by Council and as such we recommend not advertising your event until this confirmation is provided.
