Cold Weather Policy

The weather forecast will be monitored, with the trigger for changes to opening hours based on the Bureau of Meteorology afternoon (approx. 4.30pm) weather forecast for Queenstown and Zeehan.

Should the forecast be a maximum less than 16°C for Queenstown and Zeehan pools will not open for public recreational swimming. Forecasts will be monitored early each day to determine if there has been significant forecast change on the day.

Pools will open for bookings and regular programs regardless of cold weather, in consultation with program coordinators.

Council will utilise various communication channels to ensure details regarding opening hours are relayed to the public.
