Healthy Communities Projects

Healthy Together

By utilising the Tasmanian Government’s Healthy Together Grant, Council aims to work with the community on a shared vision for health and wellbeing using a place-based approach.

This is a 3-year project beginning in 2025.  An advisory group and community consultation will be established in the first half of 2025.

Full details are available on the Healthy Together project page which will be regularly updated.

Access to Health Services

Rural Health Tasmania Logo

This project is lead by Rural Health Tasmania to develop local action plans to improve health service access.

Once a project coordinator is fulfilled, Rural Health Tas will facilitate the establishment of an advisory group.

FindHelp TAS

FindHelpTAS is a free, online directory with over 900 services that support the health and wellbeing of Tasmanians and our communities.

A kiosk is available at the Rosebery Neighbourhood House, with another soon to be installed in Zeehan.

HealthFest West 2024

Health Fest West – Healthy Living and Ageing on the West Coast was held on Saturday 19 October 2024 at Mountain Heights School.

The event saw approximately 40 health service providers and around 100 community members engage in conversations around community need in the health provision space.

The event also gave community members the opportunity to ask questions and to better understand service provision by the providers.
