Why?
The West Coast of Tasmania is known for its wild rugged uniqueness. Less than two hours from Devonport’s Spirit of Tasmania terminal so you can bring all your gear, Tasmania’s West is the perfect gateway for your filming project.
In addition to multiple product advertisements being filmed on the West Coast, the region has also seen major productions in the area including Bay of Fires, Alone Australia, The Bridge, The Tailings and S1 & 2 of Crystal Hunters Australia for Discovery Channel.
When?
The West Coast is open all year. Winter provides dramatic scenery, moody clouds, vibrant overflowing waterfalls (including Tasmania’s tallest Waterfall), bulging rainforests and brilliant full lakes. Summer provides long clear days with the sun not setting until after 9pm on many nights.
How?
