The West Coast Strategic Regional Partnership was formed after industry, community and Government came together and signed a Memorandum of Understanding in August 2023.
This partnership will see the groups represented by the MOU commit to amplifying the voices of West Coaster, working together to create a region that will attract workers and their families out of suburbia to go West in pursuit of work and pleasure.
The partnership will also work to address problems such as declining populations and the subsequent spiral downwards of services and amenities.
There is an unprecedented looming investment program totaling many billions of dollars, across multiple industry sectors, for the West Coast over the next decade.
These programs will all need workers and now is the time to combine plans and ensure the expenditure can leverage the benefits of being part of a suite of projects that will leave an enduring legacy of homes, facilities, improved social outcomes and a diversified economy to reverse the cycle of decline.
