At a Special Meeting on 14 July, Council finalised several key decisions that set the direction for the year ahead.
What was approved:

Budget Estimates 2026–27 — including property rates, service fees and charges

Annual Plan 2026–27 — outlining Council’s projects, priorities and service commitments for the coming year
What this means for the community:
Rates Notices: Ratepayers will receive their 2026–27 rates notices in the coming weeks. Council will provide an update once notices have been issued.

Updated Fees & Charges: New fees and charges are now in place for a range of Council services, including burials, camping, gym memberships, airport landing, planning and building, facility hire, Strahan wharf and more.
