IMPORTANT TESTING UPDATE

Anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms should come forward and get tested. If in doubt, get a test.

If you have even mild flu symptoms arrange a Covid-19 test by speaking to your GP or calling the Public Health Hotline 1800 671 738.

As of 6th July, Council offices are open to the general public.

Online Council Meetings

This meeting will be open to the public but due to COVID-19 restrictions, you must register your attendance prior to the meeting by contacting Council on (03) 6471 4700 or via email at ea@westcoast.tas.gov.au

Questions from the public can also be submitted to the General Manager or a Councillor (to raise on your behalf) up to 7 days prior to the meeting. Those submitted after that time will be taken as questions without notice. A recording of the meeting will be available on our website in the days following the meeting.

Council Meetings

Council meetings are conducted monthly, usually commencing at 5:00pm. Special meetings are held as required.

Members of the public are invited to attend the meetings, with all details advertised through local media outlets. Agendas are available for inspection on our website, at the Queenstown Council Office and the Zeehan, Rosebery and Strahan Council Agencies at least four days prior to the meeting.

At the standard monthly meetings public question time exists so that any member of the public can ask a maximum of two questions of the West Coast Council.

Ordinary Meetings of Council will start at 5pm and will be held in Queenstown during 2020..

Council Workshops will rotate around the West Coast and will provide the opportunity for public attendance. Details of the public access times ( per workshop) will be promoted through Councils media channels.
