Hiring Council Facilities
Council has a variety of facilities available for public use across the municipality that caters for both recreational and social activities. To make a booking, please email Council with details of:
- Venue
- Dates
- Description of the Event
- Special conditions
(Clicking the button will open your email client with the subject line “Facility Hire”)
Please note a booking cannot be confirmed until all required documentation is received by Council. We recommend that any advertising of your event does not occur until you receive official confirmation from Council.
In Kind Assistance
In-Kind assistance may be available for your hire and more information can be found on our Community Grants page.
If you require in-kind assistance (non-cash funding) which relates to the booking of a Council facility, your booking must be confirmed before in-kind can be processed and approved.
Road Closures
If your booking requires the closure of a State Growth road please contact them on Phone 1800 030 688 or email info@stategrowth.tas.gov.au
Suggested Event Planning Timeframes

If your booking requires preparations please allow up to 6 weeks for your booking to be assessed and completed.

Booking Fees
Non-refundable compulsory fee levied on all bookings – exempt from In-Kind
Bookings submitted 2 working days from the event will not be accepted unless related to an emergency incident or funeral

Cancellation Fees
Cancellation within 5-7 days of | Booking fee and hire fees forfeited Event OR booking can be transferred to another date within the same financial year. |
Cancellation within 4 days of Event or No-Show | Booking fee and hire fees forfeited. No transfer option available. |
For any of the above events that include any inclusions from the below list, please add on the extra time allocated per item (e.g for a road closure add a further 6 weeks etc).
