Access to West Coast Council facilities is now easier with Unlock West Coast app!
The “Unlock West Coast” app allows you to:
- Unlock doors using your smartphone, with 24-hour access to gyms, public toilets and public showers
- Purchase and renew gym memberships (including paying online)
- Get membership renewal reminders
- Book/hire spaces (this feature coming soon)
We have listened to the community and worked to develop this solution, designed to provide a seamless experience for members.
No more lost swipe cards, reception queues, manual booking processes or waiting for the Council Office to be open!
West Coast Council is committed to improving access to facilities. The Unlock West Coast app enhances security and provides a more flexible and efficient way for the community to stay active.
Unlock West Coast is available at the following facilities:
- Queenstown Squash & Fitness Centre
- Zeehan Multi-Purpose Centre
- Strahan Gym & Multi-Purpose Centre
- Tullah Public Toilets
- Rosebery Public Toilets
- Zeehan public toilets (Howard’s Park)
- Queenstown public toilets (Hedley Faull Park)
- Strahan public toilets and showers (Slipway)
Is there a cost?
The app is free to download, and access to public toilets is free. There’s a small fee to use the Slipway Showers, which can be paid for via the app.
Gym memberships are available for purchase on the app, with memberships providing you access to all West Coast Council gyms.
If you’re after membership to the Rosebery or Tullah Gyms, please contact Council or complete a membership application for online here.
Our new multi-purpose centres in Zeehan and Strahan also have additional spaces (courts, rooms etc) available for use. We’re working through adding these spaces for booking and hiring through the app, but for now anyone wanting to use these spaces should contact Council to arrange hire and access.
