Expression of Interest Rosebery Swimming Pool

West Coast Council has determined not to continue to operate the Rosebery Swimming Pool and is seeking expressions of interest in taking over the site. Currently we are seeking expressions of interest from community groups, or businesses that would operate the site for community benefit.

About Rosebery Swimming Pool

Rosebery Swimming pool is situated on Park Road in Rosebery. The pool was built in the 1970’s and went through a redevelopment in 2010. The pool sits on approximately 1600m2 of land.

The complex consists of one 25-meter, five lane lap pool and a toddler splash pool, which is one body of water being filtered, treated, and heated by a single domestic style plant room. The plant has reached the end of its useful life and will need upgrading to run this facility as a compliant swimming pool. There are both Male and Female changerooms consisting of open showers and toilet cubicles. There is a separate office space with storage room.

Expressions of interest should identify:

· the proposed use of the facility

· the community benefit of that use

· the method of transfer (lease or sale etc.)

· the capabilities and resources of the group to operate the proposed use

· and any other support requested of the West Coast Council.

Expressions of interest should be in writing and addressed to:

General Manager- West Coast Council

PO Box 63 Queenstown 7467

or email to wcc@westcoast.tas.gov.au

Expressions need to be received no later than close of business Friday 2 October 2020.
