Harold Street, Strahan - Community Consultation

The West Coast Council is seeking feedback on converting Harold Street, Strahan into a one-way street. Due to the current road design, which is narrow and steep, and the increase in use by heavy trucks, Council is looking to improve public safety. Council have been provided a concept design to improve public infrastructure and to ensure public safety.

Feedback and questions should be submitted to: communityconsultation@westcoast.tas.gov.au or sent via mail to West Coast Council, PO Box 63 Queenstown Tas 7467 and marked “Harold Street, Strahan”. This community consultation period will be open from Monday 5 June 2023 and will close 5pm Friday 14 July 2023.

Members of the community are invited to join the West Coast Council to discuss the current road design for Harold Street Strahan. Council is seeking to improve public safety in this area as the current road conditions are narrow and steep, with an increase in heavy truck usage.
