Our most recent Council Meeting was held on 15 December 2020 in Queenstown with Councilors attending the meeting in person. Councillor Hall was not in attendance. Due to a technical glitch the LIVE Stream of the meeting is not available instead, audio of the meeting is available on the WCC website.
I can advise that this meeting was open to the public, we had three people in attendance in the public gallery.
PUBLIC QUESTION TIME
Ms Pam Gardner and Ms Karen Couto expressed concerns over the current West Coast Council Property Manager. The Council took the information on board, with the General Manager to investigate further and report back to Council.
Mr Rob Fitzpatrick asked several questions in relation to Hobart to Strahan flight trials, he sort clarification on a dog park petition and whether he could resubmit the petition, and enquired about bike spots in Queenstown
Cr Gerrity moved a motion to remove the parking meter machines outside of Hamer’s Hotel and the cottages (in the main street next to Banjos) in Strahan and replace them with signed 2-hour parking. The motion was seconded by Cr Pitt and carried unanimously
