Council to workshop financial assistance policy

9 September 2015

West Coast Council is hosting a workshop to explain its new Financial & In-Kind Assistance Policy & Guidelines.

This workshop, to be held 17 September in Queenstown, will assist potential applicants in understanding the new processes and provide guidance on how to complete applications

In June 2015 Council adopted a new policy to assess requests for assistance - both financial and in-kind. The new policy ensures a consistent, coordinated and transparent approach to the way Council provides assistance.

Council receives many applications for a variety of assistance to community and industry groups, organisations and high achieving youth.  Already in 2015-2016 $10,000 has been allocated to successful applicants.

Those interested in attending the workshop should RSVP to Council by 15 September.  The workshop will be held at 5.30pm on 17 September in the Council Chambers, Sticht Street Queenstown.
