The West Coast Council’s Footpath Improvement Program for 2015-2016 has been completed on schedule.
Sections of footpaths in Tullah, Rosebery, Zeehan and Queenstown were upgraded as part of the program. Footpaths were assessed in terms of safety issues, asset conditions and ability for works to fit within the $80,000 budget allocation.
“Council recognises that many of our footpaths require upgrades and this is a start to that process,” Mayor Phil Vickers said. “We are pleased with the results this financial year and congratulate the Council employees for the works involved in completing the program successfully.”
