Certificate of Likely Compliance
Any person wishing to undertake building works is required to lodge their application with a private building surveyor prior to lodging the application with Council for approval.
A Certificate of Likely Compliance will be issued with approved plans.
Council will require the Certificate of Likely Compliance and approved plans to be lodged with completed application forms so a building permit can be issued.
Building Surveyors
A Building Surveyor is a licenses professional accredited through Consumer, Building and Occupational Services, the Tasmanian Government Building and Consumer regulator .

Planning and Plumbing Approvals
Planning and Plumbing approvals are still undertaken primarily by Council and these processes still need to be undertaken prior to a building permit being issued should approval be required.
