From 10 February, the Queenstown Pump Track will be closed for approximately two weeks to allow for preparation works ahead of upcoming sealing works.
The project will involve shaping the track in preparation for sealing, with works carried out by an external contractor. During this time, there will be barriers in place and machinery operating on site.
For safety reasons the track must not be used once preparation works begin.
Sealing works are weather‑dependent, with the sealing itself expected to take approximately two days.
These works will improve the pump track by sealing the existing surface, enhancing safety, durability, and overall rider experience for the community.
This project is supported through funding from the Open Spaces Grant, provided by the Tasmanian State Government, the Local Government Association of Tasmania, and West Coast Council.
