Additional health services are now available on the West Coast!
We have heard that West Coasters need access to more health services. We agree.
We are committed to implementing the West Coast 2035 Community Plan, which includes advocating on behalf of the community to ensure health services meet the needs of the community.
Through the Liveable Community Advisory Committee and our passionate staff, Council is proud to be building partnerships with service providers, bringing additional health services to the region.
From Monday 24th March, Fly2Health will be providing fortnightly Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry on the West Coast. Other services may be offered if there is demand.
Fly2Health are NDIS registered but the service is available for everyone. They will fly into Strahan and work from Strahan Ochre Medical Centre. You can self-refer on their website or by phoning, or your health professional may submit the referral on your behalf. If you qualify for transport assistance, please make sure you’re registered with the option in your area like CTST or Rosebery Community Health Centre.
Council is assisting Fly2Health with access to Strahan Airport and transport to and from practice rooms, connecting Fly2Health with stakeholders who can assist in provision of services, and sharing information about Fly2Health services with the community.
