As part of Council’s intersection renewal program, upgrades to the Preston Street and Esplanade, Queenstown will soon begin.
The intersection will be bought up to a modern standard, with formalised stormwater, kerbing and road resurfacing.
The identified works aim to address failing, ageing infrastructure and provide improved safety and amenity to pedestrians and residents, and reflect Council’s plan to incrementally upgrade and renew important arterial and collector road intersections. This is in line with Council’s 2025 community plan
