In November 2023 West Coast Council adopted a Nature Strip Policy.
This new policy means that from 1 July 2024 residents have primary responsibility for the maintenance of the nature strip directly outside their property. The pictures and information below provides details around areas of responsibility and gives answers to frequently asked questions.
We understand these changes will take some time for both Council and residents to fully understand – if you have a question not covered here, please contact us.
