Council operates seven waste transfer stations across the region, providing residents a facility for the disposal of household waste.
The costs of managing these transfer stations and transporting and disposing of the rubbish from these sites is funded by all ratepayers.
Transfer station facilities should be respected, with patrons reading and obeying signs for correct placement of waste. Placement of household waste in the wrong area can result in a fine, create hazards, and cause additional cost to the community through works to rectify placement and any issues caused.
The Trial Harbour and Granville Harbour transfer stations are 30m3 skip bins.
The transfer stations have been set up for domestic use and by ‘Doing the Right Thing’ you are helping yourself as well as the whole community.
All transfer stations are closed each Sunday, and on Christmas Day. Transfer Stations are open on other public holidays.

Sorting also helps to reduce contamination and minimises the risk of damage to equipment when compacting for landfill
