Rosebery Pool
This week Council hosted a community meeting to speak with Rosebery residents about the possible closure of the Rosebery Pool. Firstly, we would like to thank those that attended the meeting.
Following the Community Meeting, Council decided to authorise a $20,000 Capital Project to repair the Rosebery Pool for the 2020 season and in the absence of a suitable solution being found by both Council and the community, the pool will close June 2020.
Council staff are working hard to have the Rosebery Pool open for the 2020 season by January.
Over the coming months we will seek proposals from the Community to resolve the sustainability issues for the Rosebery Pool and we will hold another community meeting following the pool season to hear from the community further on this issue. Following that meeting, Council will again consider the future of the Rosebery Pool taking into account any proposals from the community.
