Mayors update November Council Meeting 2020

Our most recent Council Meeting was held on 24 November 2020 in Queenstown with the meeting streamed LIVE to the public and with Councillors attending the meeting in person. Councillor Hall, Cr Pitt and Councillor Stringer were apologies for the meeting.

I can advise that this meeting was open to the public, we had one person in attendance in the public gallery.

PUBLIC QUESTION TIME

There were 3 questions asked by Mr Fitzpatrick of Queenstown:

1. There was a dog park petition submitted in last year. How is that progressing?

The General Manager took the question on notice.

2. Is it possible to cover the Queenstown Pool?

Mayor Vickers advised it is not within Councils financial ability. The General Manager referred Mr Fitzpatrick to the Aquatic Strategy on the WCC website.

3. Is my (Mr Fitzpatrick) abatement issue finalised?

The General Manager advised the abatement notice was completed.
